Amy and Elder have finally left the oppressive walls of the spaceshipGodspeed behind. They’re ready to start life afresh–to build a home–on Centauri-Earth, the planet that Amy has traveled 25 trillion miles across the universe to experience.

But this new Earth isn’t the paradise Amy had been hoping for. There are giant pterodactyl-like birds, purple flowers with mind-numbing toxins, and mysterious, unexplained ruins that hold more secrets than their stone walls first let on. The biggest secret of all? Godspeed‘s former passengers aren’t alone on this planet. And if they’re going to stay, they’ll have to fight.

Amy and Elder must race to discover who–or what–else is out there if they are to have any hope of saving their struggling colony and building a future together. They will have to look inward to the very core of what makes them human on this, their most harrowing journey yet. Because if the colony collapses? Then everything they have sacrificed–friends, family, life on Earth–will have been for nothing.

my thoughts 2

I haven’t cried that hard in a long time… FANTASTIC ENDING! If it had gone a different way, I would have lowered my rating. Seriously, an amazing ending to a fantastic trilogy!!! Since this is the final book, I won’t be giving a synopsis because I wouldn’t want to spoil everything from the first 2.

It was almost as if this was a new book. New cover, TINY font, different world. I really liked it! This new world was so creepy, yet so fascinating. I really do want to know more about it though. The author mostly focused on the plot and didn’t really delve into the world and what was going on. The creatures were so creepy! A lot of scenes were pretty graphic to say the least.. I have heard that some people didn’t like the ending and I almost felt that way towards the end. I can understand where people are getting those feelings from.

But this was a fantastic ending!

All the frozen people from Sol-Earth were driving me bonkers! I felt like Elder and the rest of the people from Godspeed! So many things happened in this book, that I literally could not put it down. I spent a good portion of the day in my bed just reading this! I still can’t believe this trilogy is over! I absolutely love Amy and Elder’s relationship. Now, is Amy a favorite character of mine? Well, no. She got on my nerves quite a bit and she drove me crazy a lot. I feel that once they were ready to land, the only thought going through her mind was “I need my parents now”. I mean I understand, but that was literally the ONLY thing going through her mind and it just got annoying sometimes to read. Elder is definitely a character I fell in love with. He was willing to sacrifice his life to make this mission to land on Centauri-Earth a success. Chris- a new character introduced, got on my nerves from day one. I knew something wasn’t right about that guy. Something just didn’t seem right. I was really not looking forward to a love triangle. It was the final book in the trilogy and I was really going to be upset if it went down that road.

Seriously a fantastic ending to an amazing trilogy! Definitely recommend!
