all time favoritemy thoughts 2

I IMMEDIATELY dove into this right after reading Opal. The cliffhanger was insane and I was literally going crazy after 2 seconds. This series gets better and better as the books go. I fall in love with the characters even more. Words can’t describe how much I ADORE this series (& if you’ve been seeing my posts, you know I say this A LOT).

The one thing that threw me off while reading at first is now we get Daemon’s perspective. Which is nice considering what happened at the end of Opal. It probably would have gotten boring and not as enjoyable had it stuck to only Katy’s point of view. But then again, JLA is amazing at making everything perfect. So had it stayed with Katy, I’m sure I would still love it just as much. :) But getting to be inside Daemon’s head was fun! He’s HILARIOUS! So it was nice to actually see what he thinks and what exactly he thinks about. He’s a guy though, so I mean come on. But dear lord, I LOVE Daemon so so much!!!!

I fangirled extremely hard towards the middle/end of this one. Just know something major happens in this one. UGH JUST SO MANY DANG FEELS THAT I CANNOT CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT! I ADORE Katy and Daemon’s relationship! Ohh yes, and let’s not forget to mention one of my all time favorite trilogies with another top favorite boyfriend is mentioned in this. HOLY MOLY! I literally started freaking out!

favorite quotes“There’re eighty-six thousand, four hundred seconds in a day, right? There’re one thousand, four hundred and forty minutes in a day.”
Her brow knitted. “Okay. I’ll take your word for it.”
“I’m right.” I tapped my finger against my head. “A lot of useless knowledge up here.
Anyway, are you following me? There’re one hundred and sixty-eight hours in a week.
Around eighty-seven hundred and then some hours in a year, and you know what?”
She smiled. “What?”
“I want to spend every second, every minute, every hour with you.” Part of me
couldn’t believe something that cheesy had come out of my mouth, but it was also so beauti fully true. “I want a year’s worth of seconds and minutes with you. I want a decade’s worth of hours, so many that I can’t add them up.”– page 286

“He can read your mind without even knowing.”
Dee’s face went from pale to bright cherry. “Oh God.”

She smacked her hands over her face. “Well, the whole time we were downstairs, I was picturing him naked.”– page 267

“I have something really corny to say. Get ready for it.”

She traced the line of my jaw. “I’m ready.”

“I’m mental for you.”– page 233
