This will forever and always be my ALL TIME favorite series ever. There’s no question as to why this isn’t my top favorite. I hold such a special spot in my heart for this series. I hold so so so many memories throughout my Twilight obsession. I will forever love this series. This began my love for YA and vampires.
This is another I hold a special place in my heart. I absolutely love Stephenie Meyer and her books. My experience with The Host brought back my love for reading when I stopped reading after my junior year in high school (probably 2010) and didn’t start back up until June 2013. I absolutely love this book to pieces, despite how massively huge it is, but sooo worth the read.
I read this trilogy while on my reading break after my junior year. I think it was my senior year in high school that I read this. I went and saw the movie that weekend it came out with my sister and best friend. I absolutely loved the movie but I was absolutely confused as to what really was going on. Both my sister and I picked up the trilogy and I DEVOURED this trilogy. This brought me to love dystopian– although I didn’t pick up any other book after reading this, but I did read THG fanfiction… My obsession with THG lasted a LONG time. I don’t know exactly, but I’d say around 6 months-1 year. I was COMPLETELY obsessed with THG, it was scary at times. These books are so fantastic and I can still remember the ENTIRE trilogy easily! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this trilogy.
I can already hear what some of you will say… Really Brianna!? Fifty Shades… Are you some wierdo? No. I really enjoyed these books- despite all the sexual content. Could have done without some of it honestly, but I really loved Christian and Anastasia’s relationship. I really enjoyed the overall storyline and I completely devoured this trilogy. I don’t care what people say about this trilogy.
“I don’t care if it’s Twilight or Fifty Shades or War and Peace – Never let someone make you ashamed of what you love to read!” – Rae Carson
I read this series back when I had my Twilight obsession. So I started when Blood Promise was either about to release or was just released (I have the hardcover copy and the first 3 are paperback– got my copies from B&N). I don’t really remember much from this series since it’s been almost 4-5 years since I’ve read this series, and I really miss it… A lot. I do however, remember smiling and crying and experiences all the fangirl feelings a girl/boy can go through. I love this series so much, despite the fact that it’s hard to remember clear details of the series. I will someday re-read this series. Maybe before I get into Bloodlines (that’s sad right? I haven’t started Bloodlines…).
This is a trilogy that I’ve actually finished. This trilogy is seriously fantastic! Tahereh Mafi’s writing style is soo unique and absolutely fantastic. I have NEVER changed teams before. Ever. It never happens to me. Once the main male love interest is introduced, that’s who I root for. (Team Stefan, Edward, Dimitri, etc.) I had so much fun reading this trilogy and I will definitely be re-reading this trilogy in the future.
