finding a waythe mason listhey sunshine

  • Finding A Way by T.E. Black: I recently read this book and I fell in love with it all! This being T.E.’s debut, I’m blown away with her writing. You’d think she’s been a writer a long time and has a bunch of books published… Nope. This is her first and I know in time, her books are only going to get even better. She has become a favorite author of mine even with just reading one book.
  • The Mason List by S.D. Hendrickson: I am buying a paperback copy at some point. This is one of my favorite books this year hands down. This book was a roller coaster of emotions!
  • Hey Sunshine by Tia Giacalone: Romance is ON POINT, characters are perfectly done, plot is SUPERB, EVERYTHING is AH-MAZ-ING!!!! I’m usually not one to re-read books, but this is definitely one of those that I will re-read again. I seriously cannot praise this book enough!

alexa-crushedlove in rewindcaught in the glow

  • Alexa Crushed by T.R. Cupak: This does include a include a love triangle, but in my opinion, it is one you have so many feelings towards. You literally fall for one, get crushed by him, fall for that one then get confused as Alexa is. I don’t know who to root for, Devin or Ethan… Both are swoon-worthy and both have sides that can be easy loved. Devin, the bad boy who is mysterious; Ethan, the sweetheart and best friend.
  • Love in Rewind by Tali Alexander: They have a relationship that I think every girl wants to have. I mean, who wouldnt?! I’m really looking forward to the second book in this series as well as reading more by this author. I may have been born in the 90’s, but I do love 80’s music, so hearing songs thrown into this, just made it even more enjoyable. :)
  • Caught in the Glow by Eva Chase: I’m a hardcore romance addict- that much is true. So it is without a doubt I LOVEDDD the romance between Colin and Avery. I love my bad-boy/rocker types and Colin was just that. I loved his character! Avery’s as well; though at times I just wanted to slap her for taking SOO long. But what can a girl do? 😉

branded 2love letters to the dead

  • Branded by Abi Ketner and Missy Kalicicki: I’m adding Cole to my list of swoon-worthy boyfriends. That boy was just… Wow. Can’t get over him. Probably never will honestly. I loved Cole, I didn’t think I would love him as much as I did. I thought he was just Lexi’s guard and nothing else, nope. Totally wrong. Loved him!
  • Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira: This was such a compelling, beautifully written, and emotional book. There were times I wanted to burst out in tears. There were times where I got a little teary eyed. I liked all the different themes that played a part in this. Mostly the LGBT, you don’t see this very much in young adult books. It’s starting to grow, but still isn’t all that big yet. I adored this aspect! Loved Hannah and Natalie’s relationship that grew in this.

That is all I have for you guys! I’m sure you counted and it’s not 10; its 8. I haven’t read enough debut novels to make this a full list. All authors I have read for the most part have several books out already.

Top Ten Tuesday: Finished Series I Have YET to Finish

top ten tuesdayTop Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Ugh, this topic is me right now. I’m the WORST at finishing series… Let’s get this over with..

Infernal_Devices_Book_1_Clockwork_Angel_9781406321326_CVR clockwork prince clockwork princess

  • The Infernal Devices Trilogy by Cassandra Clare: I’ve only read the first and soon after finishing I was spoiled on the epilogue for Clockwork Princess. This was about a year ago. I’m not sure if being spoiled on the ending is what is keeping me from continuing, no idea.

half blood deity sentinel

  • Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout: I know, your shocked right?? Coming from someone who is OBSESSED with this lady, you’d think I would be done with this series by now. Nope.. Still have only read the 1st one… I’m terrible…

image image image

  • Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling: Okay, cut me some slack. I just started this summer and I’m going to start book 5 at some point. I WILL have this series finished by the end of the year. :)

the darkest minds never fade in the afterlight

  • The Darkest Minds trilogy by Alexandra Bracken: I literally only need to read the last book in this series. I still have yet to do so and I pre-ordered it. I’m bad…

bloodlines the indigo spell the ruby circle

  • Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead: Someone’s favorite series of all time (well at least 1 of them anyway), Vampire Academy you’d think I’d be done with this series. Nope… Still have only read the first. Have I told you guys how bad I am with keeping up with series!? It’s not that I don’t want to read the series, I do.

the lightning thief the titans curse the last olympian

  • Percy Jackson & the Olympians series by Rick Riordan: Read the first book so far. Again, not that I don’t want to read the series, I do. Just other books call to me..

daughter of smoke and bone days of blood and starlight dreams of gods and monsters

  • Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor: Okay, thankfully I only need to read the last one. But oh my gosh, my whole reason why I haven’t read it is the SIZE OF THE DANG BOOK! It’s massive!!! Plus, I’m not much of a fantasy person as you can tell. Not that I don’t like the series, I’m actually in love with it.

uglies pretties specials

  • The Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld: I’ve only read the first. This is a dystopian series that I read like. I like the idea of this world and I have been DYING to continue since I read the first book… Just haven’t done so yet.

marked burned redeemed

  • House of Night series by P.C. and Kristin Cast: I started this series a long time ago. Maybe like 4 or 5 years ago. I’m almost finished with the series, I have the final 2 books left. I’m at this point, that I’m curious to see how it all ends but I’m just like, okay 12 books… Really not necessary.

blue bloods misguided angel gates of paradise

  • Blue Bloods series by Melissa De La Cruz: This is another series I read a while back. Honestly I don’t remember anything from this series. So if I ever do finish it, I will have to start over. I do though remember really liking it. I mean, comeon it’s vampires. Vampires are the reason I love reading. Thank you Twilight. ;)

Top Ten Tuesday: Auto-Buy Authors

top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This is in no particular order. :) It’s too painful to do in order… I’ll be here forever trying to decide!

stay with me where i belong confess

  • Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • J. Daniels
  • Colleen Hoover

the start of you and me sweet reckoning ignite me

  • Emery Lord
  • Wendy Higgins
  • Tahereh Mafi

boundless beautiful obilivion twilight the last song

  • Cynthia Hand
  • Jamie McGuire
  • Stephenie Meyer (well, it would be nice to have more books by her. ;) )
  • Nicholas Sparks (I’ve only read 2, but I ADORED them)

I’m surprised at how hard this was! I figured this would have been one of the EASIEST topics ever… When really, I spent forever picking! I’ve come across SOO many authors, but a lot I’ve either only read 1 (or 2) and they may only have 1 or they have already written alot. So those authors, I couldn’t add because it wouldn’t be fair because I haven’t read enough to actually have an opinion. But, this was a fun topic! It would be interesting to see this next year and see how my tastes have changed (or stayed same). :)

top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is ‘top ten authors I’ve read the most books from’.

obsidian be with me frigid

1. Jennifer L. Armentrout: 19 books

marked betrayed redeemed

2. P.C. Cast: 10 books

  • I’m almost done with House of Night! 2 more books left! I started this series like 5 years ago probably around when book 5 or 6 was being released. I kept up for the most part..

vampire kisses immortal hearts cryptic craving

3. Ellen Schreiber: 9 books

  • I adore the Vampire Kisses series no matter how cheesy and predictable it is! Super fast reads and I really enjoyed it!

vampire academy ugly love the vampire diaries

4-8. Richelle Mead, Cassandra Clare, Colleen Hoover, L.J. Smith, Charlaine Harris: 7 books

  • I don’t think I need to say anything for any of these authors? Do I?

twilight the-host the seduction

9 & 10. Stephenie Meyer & Roxy Sloane: 6 books

  • I wish Stephenie Meyer would write more!!! She’s my ABSOLUTE favorite author EVER! Sadly, she’s at the end of the list. :(

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Can’t Believe I Haven’t Read From New Adult Genre

top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is ‘ Top Ten Books I Can’t Believe I Haven’t/Want To Read From X Genre ’. This is is no particular order.

It’s not even funny how behind I am in the NA genre, so this doesn’t even touch the surface of books I can’t believe I haven’t read…

archers voice on dublin street sweet filthy boy ten tiny breaths hopeless the coincidence of callie and kayden if you stay thoughtless fallen too far rule

See what I mean? Bad right!? There are so SO many more that I haven’t read but can’t fit on the list… NA is one of my favorite genres, but oddly enough I’ve only read a select few… NEED MORE NA IN MY LIFE!!!

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I’d Love to Read If I Had A Book Club

top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is ‘ Ten Books I’d Love to Read With My Book Club/If I Had A Book Club’. This is is no particular order.

This one was a lot of fun for me to make! I love participating in read-a-longs and those sorts of things so it would be fun to discuss these 10 in a book club setting!

the kiss of deception to all the boys i've loved before tiger's curse cruel beauty splintered the raven boys altered find me minders white cat

I chose these 10 because all of them have interesting synopsis’ and would make for a great discussion. Especially if the club is meeting several times while reading the book to discuss what is happening and what could happen. Some of these have mixed reviews, so it would be fun to get a take on everyone’s perspective! :)

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I’ll Never Read

top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is a freebie so I chose a previously discussed topic I’ve never participated in yet; ‘Books I’ll Never Read’. This is is no particular order.

This one is an interesting topic. For a LONG time I told myself I’ll NEVER read Harry Potter. But within the last year or so that has completely changed. I’ve ordered my copies of the series and am planning to read for the first time in the summer (hopefully). So there’s a chance I could change my mind about these books, but as of now I won’t read them.

we were liars the perks of being a wallflower it's kind of a funny story the giver eragon pride and prejudice thirteen reasons why enders game 1984 lord of the rings

I picked 10 that are very well known in the book community. Now, don’t hurt me if these are some of your favorites. I just have no desire to pick them up. Maybe, one day — like I changed my mind with HP– I’ll change my mind about one or some of these! I just don’t ever see myself picking them up unfortunately..

Top Ten Tuesday: 2014 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn’t Get To

top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is ‘ Top Ten 2014 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn’t Get To’. This is is no particular order.

There were soo many 2014 releases that I was dying to get to, but didn’t get the chance to pick up. This was definitely hard to pick only 10 because my reading variety is all over the place! But, here’s 10! :D

everything leads to you the kiss of deception in the afterlight to all the boys i've loved before beautiful obilivion isla and the happily ever after this shattered world archers voice cress stepbrother dearest

All of these 10 books I feel are the most embarrassing to me. I’ve mentioned these books many MANY times about how I’m going to read them and never do. Most of these books I’ve read previous books from the authors and the others I’ve head nothing but AMAZING things about. I need to get on these ASAP!

Top Ten Tuesday: Goals/Resolutions for 2015

top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is ‘ Top Ten Goals/Resolutions For 2015 — bookish, blogging or otherwise’. This is is no particular order.

I’m still working on my 2015 reading challenges that I want to participate, just to put that out there. ;)

  1. My overall reading goal is to read 140 books. 2014 I read a little over 120+ books and I’m really proud of myself. But I’m going to push myself a little more and reach for 140 books!
  2. Keep my blog updated!!! I was absolutely terrible this past year keeping up with reviews and memes. This next year, this is definitely a must!
  3. Slow down on book buying — though will be happening no doubt–. My boyfriend and I are moving out so with that said, I won’t be able to buy books like I do now.
  4. Keep up with review copies! Especially NetGalley! I have books that I requested forever ago and still have yet to read!
  5. Keep up with my reviews on Goodreads/Amazon. I’ve been getting a little better, but I feel those are really important as well!
  6. Finish a lot of unfinished trilogies/series, because lord knows I’m TERRIBLE at finishing them!
  7. Read more new adult! I’m OBSESSED with new adult. It’s bad. My obsession is still really bad. Thankfully I’ve been able to read a lot of young adult, but that need is still there. Dang, you new adult books and it’s amazingness…
  8. Go to more book events like signing. In 2014 I missed out on some great opportunities to meet some awesome authors!
  9. Get rid of some unwanted books… Haha, yeah right!!! :)
  10. Stay with my reading challenges. Last year I made the dumb decision of signing up for like 9 different challenges absolutely failed miserably. I’m going to limit myself this next year so I can actually focus on them!

Well, that’s my top 10! See y’all next week with my next top 10 or tomorrow for my waiting on Wednesday book!

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Bringing This Year

top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is ‘ Top Ten Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Bringing This Year’. This is is no particular order.

alice in zombieland to all the boys i've loved before everything leads to you the kiss of deception the jewel a thousand pieces of you snow like ashesred rising captive frozen 2

These are the 10 books I would really want for Christmas! A bunch of these are already on my list for my boyfriend to get me. Though, I don’t know if he’ll get any of them though… But that’s okay! Eventually I will end up buying them myself anyway! xD I do know that Santa is bringing me a lot of things for an apartment (seeing as that me and my boyfriend are moving out together in about a month). :)

Well, that’s it for this week! See you guys next week with the next top 10 or my next post! :)
